LAMPE Sewer sealing system KAS 01 for pipe diameters of 450 - 1500 mm
This is a stationary sealing cushion system used as fixed valve in stormwater and sewage pipes. The ideal replacement for mechanical sliders or valves to retain contaminated water. KAS 01 can be operated quickly and safely from the top, it can be easily installed afterwards into already existing pipe lines and it is particularly low-cost and economic.Problems due to water pollution, when e.g. chemicals or fuel oil or contaminated water used for fire fighting arrived into the surface water, are matters of the past . Also the damage of purification plants, in case contaminated water arrives into the sewers can now be easily avoided .
The KAS 01 can be installed without large constructive preparations or logistic problems. As the KAS 01 does not exist of sensible, mechanically susceptible parts, the maintenance costs are extremely low, by guaranteeing nevertheless an always safe function.
The release can be made at site, by remote release or automatically.
The LAMPE Sewer Sealing System KAS 01 consists of:
- Air station The air station is on top of the street in a steel sheet cabinet which is standing approx. 3 – 4m besides the shaft. It contains the control system and the compressed air supply.
- Filling hose The filling hose is the connection between the control system and the KAS basic device in the pipe.
- KAS basic device The KAS basic devise is a wide, closed double hose which blocks the pipe safely after having been inflated to the operating pressure. The double hose is coated with neoprene and is non-rotting.
